Just a few days ago Alpina presented its new additions to the wildly popular Alpiner 4 Collection. And of course, the three new models also come with the Alpina “Concept of 4”. This concept is based on the combination of four key characteristics that Alpina deems essential to create a sports watch; anti-magnetic, anti-shock, water-resistant and stainless.
After successfully developing the “Block Uhr” in 1933; in 1938, Alpina Watches put forth the concept of 4 which in turn gave birth to the first Swiss sports watch, the Alpiner 4.
Following the 2016 launch of the automatic line, Alpina introduces three new versions. All three of these watches come in two different versions: either in all stainless steel or in stainless steel on a leather bracelet. The iconic glacier blue dial welcomes a new variation, a contemporary mix of black with red on the outer rim, accompanied by the matching black leather strap with red lining. The famous red triangle adorns the seconds hand and the 12 o’clock mark on the bi-directional turning bezel. The date window is displayed at 3 o’clock and the luminova-treated indexes contrast beautifully the sunray-finished dial.
The new Alpiner 4 models are powered by an automatic calibre, the AL-525. It provides a power reserve of up to 38 hours and lies within a stainless steel case, measuring 44 mm in diameter. It is water resistant up to 10 atm and the stainless steel case back is engraved with the Alpina 1883 logo.
The “Concept of 4” and its features are vital to the adventurous Alpina watch user, they allow for a free use of the watch without worrying about its continuous performance. This concept allows the Alpiner 4 to tackle the entire Alpina sports’ universe, from mountain climbing and skiing to alpine lake diving.
The new versions are beautiful additions to the Alpiner 4-Collection and we are sure that a lot of fans will be thrilled.
