Watch manufacturer Hindenberg assembled an extensive collection behind his name, offering something for each and everyone. And all of these models come in a variety of different versions. Among them is the Air Tracer – a classic wristwatch that presents itself intentionally masculine while remaining superbly elegant.
The dial of the Hindenberg Air Tracer ticks all the boxes for a classic layout. The manufacturer placed the subdials at 3 o’clock (the month display) and at 9 o’clock (the weekday display). The date can be found in a large window at six o’clock. Naturally, the subdials, hands and indexes are color-coded to match the respective case. In order to guarantee an ideal readability under all lighting conditions, Hindenberg has equipped the dial of the Air Tracer with a good deal of luminous paint. The legibility is further enhanced by the extremely restrained design of the hour and minute markers and all other lettering. We would also like to point your attention to the inner tachymeter bezel, which runs along the outer rim of the dial. All this is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
While the dial of the Hindenberg Air Tracer is beautfully elegant and well-balanced, the date discs of this model are not fitted to the respective dial colors. That means that the date stands out on the darker models. This is partly compensated by the use of white lume but still not ideal.
With a diameter of 41 mm and a massive weight of 182g, this wristwatch likes to remind its wearer of its presence. Hindenberg has opted for elegantly integraded lugs which streamlines the design elegantly. The case is water-resistant up to 5 atm.
Inside the case works a reliable automatic movement, the calibre H-16.410.
Hindenberg offers six different versions of the Air Tracer – in stainless steel, with a gold or pink gold or black PVD coating. They are equipped with white or black dials and all are worn on a stainless steel bracelet.
