Last year’s summer collection by Nomos Glashütte was already a blast and crazy popular among fans. Everyone who just loves the Nomos Aqua (Ahoi neomatik and Club neomatik) will be relieved to hear that the collection is still available! But of course, this year there’s a new summer collection and it’s very different but not less magnetic.
With the new Tetra Petit Four watches look like tasty watchmaking delicacies, little treats for your wrist. May we present: Grenadine, Pearl, Matcha, Azure. Hmmm, delicious. And these will be available only for a limited time.
The colors may be new in this series, but the Tetra remains a classic – with refined features such as the double lugs, which allow for a slender strap. The cases are thin and don’t add any weight – perfect for slender wrists. Nomos Glashütte likes to experiment with color in the classic Tetra models now and then; the square shape of the case and its clear, crisp lines are the perfect setting for doing so. This time, grenadine red, pink, azure blue and matcha green form a very contemporary quartet. These colors really do remind of the powdery pastels, petit four are dressed in (or, if you are like me, you are also thinking about ice cream now…).
With the contrasting shades of their typography and the fine accents of silver and gold of their hands, these watches are not only extraordinary mechanical timepieces, but downright tasty.
Hours and minutes are displayed by central hands; the running seconds hand has its own little subdial at 6 o’clock. All indexes come in the same color (a darker shade as the color of the dial). In all four versions, the seconds hand is brightred.
The Tetra Petit Four watches are powered by the Nomos hand-wound caliber Alpha. This movement is not only highly precise but also handcrafted in the workshops in Glashütte. Every individual movement is adjusted in six positions and features Glashütte ribbing, tempered blue screws, and Nomos perlage. Also, it provides a power reserve of 43 hours after being fully wound.
The mechanical movement is only visibile in two of the versions. The Tetra Matcha and the Tetra Azur are equipped with a steel case back instead of a sapphire one, so there’s space for a personalized engraving.
The stainless steel case is with 29,3 x 29,5 mm perfectly square. It is water resistant up to 3 atm and is completed by a gray suede strap.
Question: How could you possibly not want all of them?
