Watch Manufacturer Richtenburg is best known for its classically designed models that are all available in varieties of different colors and styles, catering for all tastes. One of the most popular models in Richtenburg’s current collection is the Fastpace, and that’s hardly surprising.
The Richtenburg Fastpace offers numerous functions. These include a day, month and 24-hour-display as well as a date window. These are arrangend on the dial in the following way: At 9 o’clock lies the subdial showing the day, at 3 o’clock the subdial for the month and at 6 o’clock the 24-hour-display. The latter also features a bulit-in day-night-display. The date window lies at 4.30 o’clock. Hours, minutes and seconds are displayed traditionally by central hands and big Roman numerals.
We wouldn’t have minded if the Roman Numerals would be a little smaller or if they would have been replaced by indexes. But they don’t hurt the overall legibility. We are pleased to see that the date window is, in fact, a little smaller and due to the ingrained magnifier in the glass its legibility is great. Apropos legibility: all hands are equipped with lume to defy the dark.
The stainless steel case is 42 in diameter and 13 mm in height and because of its rather moderate size for a modern men’s watch the Fastpace can be worn on any wrist, big or small. The watch is water-resistant up to 5 ATM and features a robust, low-maintenance stainless steel bracelet.
Richtenburg offers 10 different versions of the Fastpace; four of them classic in stainless steel with dials in different colors: silver, black, deep blue (our favorite!) and deep green. There is one model in all-black as well a gold-coated one with a black dial. Two gold and pink gold ones with silver dials and two trendy bi-color models with matching hands, numerals, crown and pushers. So Richtenburg made sure that everyone who likes the basic design will find a version that suits him.
