This world time watch features all the qualities of the Zeitmeister line: not least the chronometer-certified movement in the contemporary, 42mm-diameter steel case; the easy-to-adjust knurled crown; and the screw-down case back with relief engraving of the observatory. Rounded lugs ensure that the watch sits comfortably on the wrist. The watch simultaneously displays the time in every part of the globe – a feature as useful when travelling as in the home office. Anyone trading at more than two exchanges, or regularly travelling between more than three major cities, needs to know the time everywhere – if only to avoid rousing good friends from their slumbers in the middle of the night.
The names of 24 places represent the time zones on a fixed ring surrounding the dial on this Wempe Zeitmeister, while a rotating, 24-hour disc in the centre of the dial shows the correct time in each zone at all times. The disc is divided into day and night sections, making the watch even easier to read – and banishing untimely phone calls one and for all to the past.
This watch has undergone a thorough inspection of water resistance, accuracy, functionality and condition to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet the strict standards of Wempe Glashütte. Although it is officially chronometer tested to the German DIN 8319 standard.
It is powered by the automatic movement ETA 2893 with stop-seconds function and a centre second hand. The date is displayed at 6 o’clock and replaces the index there. Local and world time are displayed via cities. Additionally the watch features a 24-hour-display with although shows day and night.
The Wempe World Time Watch comes with a black or white dial, with a stainless steel or leather bracelet.
