Parmigiani Fleurier Offers Two New Stunning Watches

Parmigiani Fleurier has introduced two new, stunning models – and thus gained our undivided attention. Both feature dials which made from aventurine and are a real eye-catcher. May we introduce: The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda 1950 Galaxy Gold Bracelet and the Tonda Métropolitaine Selene.

Let’s begin with the most important: the dials. Parmigiani Fleurier manufactures them from aventurine. This material gets its characteristic, textured appearance from small inclusions of metal. Taking advantage of this natural composition, Parmigiani  has opted for a midnight-blue aventurine dial with golden fragments, shining like stars.

Parmigiani Fleurier has opted for skeletonised hands so as not to obscure the beauty of the dial and the appliques are made from white gold. At 6 o’clock, the small seconds stands out on a midnight blue background, revealing the date on a matching date disc, which is half a shade darker.
The bezel is set with 72 brillant-cut diamonds, which extend the brilliance of the aventurine all the way to the case. The latter is made from steel, features a diameter of 33,1 mm and is water-resistant up to 3 bar.

The Tonda Métropolitaine Selene is powered by the calibre PF310, a self-winding movement which beats with 28,800 Vib/h and provides a power reserve of 50 hours.
The Métropolitaine Selene comes with an alligator or fabric strap in blue or indigo blue.

In contrast to the Métropolitaine Selene the Tonda 1950 Galaxy comes with luminescent hands instead of skeletonized ones; the appliques are made from stainless steel, matching the case. Parmigiani Fleurier opted for a plain and simple dial to make sure the gorgeous dial gets all the attention. This model also comes with a diamond-stubbed bezel (84 overall) but has a slightly bigger diameter (39 mm instead of 33.1 mm) and is water resistant up to 3 atm.

The Tonda 1950 Galaxy is powered by the Calibre PF702, a in-house movement, decorated with Côtes de Genève and bevelled bridges. The self-winding movement and its beautiful finish can be admired through the watch’s sapphire case-back. The calibre works at 3 Hz and provides a power reserve of up to 48 hours.
This watch usually comes with a leather strap from Hermès but is now available as a special edition with a solid rose gold bracelet.
