Fifteen years ago, Bell & Ross reinvented the aesthetic codes of contemporary watchmaking with the launch of the BR 01, a distinctive and singular watch directly inspired by on-board flight instruments. A square case, a round dial, and one screw in each of the four corners; the utilitarian design of this watch revolutionized traditional watchmaking codes. Over the years, Bell & Ross has continued to develop this timeless timepiece without losing its origins and strong identity. Being the ultimate reference on aeronautical watchmaking ever since, the manufacturer launchd the BR 05, an instrument for urban explorers, last year. Accurate, legible, reliable, and functional, this new iconic line is completed with a new appealing and complementary timepiece.
The BR 05 Skeleton Blue adorns the challenge of transparency. Reflecting Haute Horlogerie craftsmanship, this new skeleton version – dressed in blue – highlights the architectural modern design of Bell & Ross’ latest urban collection. Its 40 mm case is angular, the satin-finished surfaces are perfectly flat and the polished bevels emphasize and enhance the volumes they contain.
The blue-tinted transparent dial features metal appliqué indices and forms a clear window through which the skeleton movement can be admired. the skeletonized Super-LumiNova-filled hands and indices offer perfect legibility both day and night.
The BR 05 Skeleton Blue is equipped with the BR-CAL.322 calibre. The automatic movement can be seen through the glass base, and to make sure that the mechanism can be admired fully, Bell & Ross has chosen to skeletonise the oscillating weight as well.
The BR 05 belongs to the family of watches with an integrated bracelet; it merges with the case to form an unified whole. For this reason, Bell & Ross has paid particular attention to the arco of the curve, allowing all the components to be perfectly aligned and ensuring the bracelet adapts perfectly to every wrist.
The Belll & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Blue is a limited edition of 500 pieces.
